Building Confidence, Reducing Falls

stepping on falls prevention workshop

Become aware of the way you walk, and reduce the risk of falling.

Preventing falls is critical to maintaining independence. Falls are a leading cause of injury and hospitalization among older adults. This program can help!

Stepping On® is a 7-week workshop that has been researched and proven to reduce falls. For two hours each week, Physical Therapists Amanda Volesky and Brianna Gustafson will teach ways to help prevent you from falling. Local guest experts will provide additional information on exercise, vision, safety, and medications. A snack is provided each week.

The workshop takes place every Thursday starting January 25 and ends on Thursday, March 8. Meet in the Waska Room from 2:00 – 4:00 pm (lower level) at Glacial  Ridge Hospital.

Space is limited to 14. The cost is $10 per person for the entire series; sign-up* by Monday, January 22 by calling 320.634.2015.
