An event every week that begins at 10:00am on Thursday, repeating until May 17, 2018
Become aware of the way you walk, and reduce the risk of falling.
Preventing falls is critical to maintaining independence. Falls are a leading cause of injury and hospitalization among older adults. This program can help!
Stepping On® is a 7-week workshop that has been researched and proven to reduce falls. For two hours each week, Physical Therapists Amanda Volesky and Brianna Gustafson will teach ways to help prevent you from falling. Local guest experts will provide additional information on exercise, vision, safety, and medications. A snack is provided each week.
The workshop takes place every Thursday starting April 5 and ends on Thursday, May 17. Meet in the Waska Room from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (lower level) at Glacial Ridge Hospital.
Space is limited to 14. The cost is $10 per person for the entire series; sign-up* by Friday, March 30 by calling 320.634.2015. You will be asked a few questions upon registration to find out if Stepping On® is right for you.
