Glacial Ridge Health System (GRHS) is adding professional mental health counseling services at Glenwood Medical Center. This addition addresses a key priority in GRHS’s 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) Implementation Plan—improving access to mental health and wellness care. By integrating counseling services into the health system, GRHS is helping individuals and families receive timely, compassionate support in a familiar and trusted setting.
Counseling will be available for children ages six and older, as well as adolescents and adults. Services include individual, couples, and family therapy, with support for concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, substance use, relationship challenges, and other emotional or behavioral health needs.
The mental health team includes three experienced providers:
- Karla Sundheim, MA, LMFT – A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience, providing individual, couples, and family therapy.
- Jennifer Gullickson, MS, LPCC– A Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over a decade of experience supporting individuals and couples through a wide range of personal challenges.
- Heather Gerlach, MS, LPCC, LADC – A Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor who provides individual therapy and has experience working with individuals facing both mental health and substance use concerns.
Appointments begin August 25; call Glenwood Medical Center at 320.634.5157 to be added to the scheduling list and for more information.
“We’re committed to caring for the whole person—because mental and emotional health is just as important as physical health,” said Kirk Stensrud, CEO of Glacial Ridge Health System. “Adding mental health counseling services is another way we’re helping meet the needs of our community.”
