Adam Weichelt, PA-C

professional headshot of a manGrowing up, Adam and his brother liked taking chances, resulting in a few broken bones and other injuries. When he started sports and motocross entered the picture, Adam became even more acquainted with medical staff in the clinic and emergency room and naturally gravitated toward the medical field after high school.

Adam graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern College in St. Paul with a degree in biology. Then he earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2012 at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.

After graduation, Adam gained experience in rural health urgent care, family practice, and emergency room settings. He found his niche in the ER and joined the emergency department at Glacial Ridge Health System in September 2022. He was attracted to the GRHS team because of the opportunities to gain knowledge, learn new techniques, and have the resources to better care for his patients. In addition, he appreciates how GRHS strives to be a leader in the medical field and provides avenues of treatment that you may find at a larger hospital. “The eyes cannot see what the mind does not know exists” is a quote that drives him to continue to study and learn more about diagnoses and treatment options.

Adam and his wife enjoy living in this beautiful area, raising their three children, and introducing them to activities such as skiing, camping, and dirt biking. He especially enjoys seeing them develop a passion for a sport or activity and watching their eyes light up.
