Dr. Patel earned his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in Chicago and his Doctor of Medicine from Saba University School of Medicine in the Dutch West Indies. Returning to the United States, he completed his internal medicine residency at Hennepin County Medical Center. As a board-certified internal medicine physician with 20 years of experience, Dr. Patel has held multiple medical director roles and as a medical school instructor, shaping the next generation of healthcare providers.
Before and during college, he gained practical, hands-on experience in healthcare as a pharmacy assistant, optometrist’s assistant, and nurse’s aide—roles that deepened his understanding of patient care. In addition to his early medical experiences, he ran his own mechanic business for ten years.
Dr. Patel has a particular interest in critical care, drawn to its complexity and the individualized approach for each patient. Committed to lifelong learning, he stays current with the latest medical advancements to refine his skills and provide the best possible care.
Dr. Patel began caring for patients at Glacial Ridge in November 2024. He is known for treating his patients like family and is relentless in his research to ensure accurate and effective care. The greatest satisfaction comes from the trust placed in him to support individuals during their times of need.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Patel stays busy with hobbies that reflect his diverse interests. He enjoys working on cars, golfing, rehabbing homes, and following the stock market. He is physically active as a brown belt in Karate and has recently taken up weightlifting. At home, Dr. Patel cherishes time with his wife and their son, who is currently attending college.
In addition to English, Dr. Patel understands Gujarati/Hindi fluently and has some knowledge of Spanish.
