Erik was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. His interactions with neighbors who worked in the medical field led him to pursue medicine. After high school, he joined the US Army followed by the Army National Guard. While in the National Guard, he completed the physician assistant program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
The medical field has been important to Erik because he believes that preserving dignity and serving others intersect in medicine. He respects patients and their families while providing the best medical care possible.
Erik’s special medical interests in trauma care, fracture and laceration care, and clinical toxicology assessment and treatment fit well with emergency medicine. The compassionate medical care at Glacial Ridge Health System aligned with his values, and Erik joined Glacial Ridge Hospital’s Emergency Department in August 2016.
Away from work, Erik spends quality time with his family. From bicycling to spearfishing, their interests are varied and keep them moving.
