Dr. Taniguchi is an experienced physician and surgeon, compassionately helping people recover from injuries and chronic conditions. She enjoys helping them get them back to better health and the activities they enjoy.
Dr. Taniguchi earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. She went to medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO, then did her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Boston University Medical Center in Massachusetts. She completed her fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at The Rothman Orthopaedic Institute in Philadelphia and is currently enrolled in a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.
She joined Glacial Ridge Health System in August 2020 to provide full-time orthopedic care to the community. She has over twelve years of experience, practicing in Minneapolis, MN; Philadelphia, PA; and Renton, WA.
Dr. Taniguchi is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Taniguchi was drawn to Glenwood because of the stunning lakes and felt it was a place where she could raise her children while enjoying the beautiful scenery and a slower rhythm of life. She saw GRHS as a hidden gem that provides excellent care in a friendly setting, caring about both patients and the people who work there. She was very active growing up and still enjoys sports in every season. She and her two children (twin girl and boy) continue to enjoy many outdoor adventures. She also makes time for yoga, meditation, and classifies herself as a foodie.
