After breaking his foot playing basketball in high school, he was devastated like any young athlete. However, after having a great physical therapist, he got back on the court and was better than before his injury. He remembers thinking that physical therapy would be a cool job someday and decided to pursue it as a career.
Evan grew up in Cologne, MN, and has an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from North Dakota State University. He received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2018 from the University of Jamestown. Evan completed the Sanford orthopedic residency program in 2019 and is a board-certified orthopaedic clinical specialist. He worked at a critical access hospital in Park River, ND, for over three years before joining GRHS in January 2023.
Evan wants his patients to feel heard and understood. Getting to know them helps him select more specific interventions that can improve their recovery and help them reach their goals. When he is not working, Evan and his wife enjoy traveling to different parts of the country. He enjoys woodworking, cooking, and making home-brewed beer.
