From Foot Surgery to an Ankle Brace—Discover Welcome Relief for Your Feet
Comprehensive foot and ankle care services are just steps away at Glacial Ridge Health System and our Glacial Ridge Center for Surgical Care. Podiatry is the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the foot and ankle. The foot and ankle are a complex area of the human skeletal system. Your feet have more than 100 muscles, ligaments, and tendons, and more than a quarter of your body’s bones. Obtaining expertise in this region of the body requires years of training, education, and practice by a podiatrist.
Experienced Podiatrist
Our in-house podiatrist, Alissa Redding, DPM, has diverse experience assisting patients of all ages. Whether you need care for plantar fasciitis or foot surgery, her expertise lies in diagnosing and treating injuries and conditions of the foot and ankle. Dr. Redding’s practice philosophy places emphasis on collaborating with her patients and considering their overall health, expectations, and lifestyles. With her extensive experience, Dr. Redding will determine the cause of the ailment and then develop a customized treatment plan that may include prescribed medications, physical therapy, bracing, or surgery to correct the problem.
I needed foot surgery but have been putting it off for years out of fear of pain. I went to see Podiatrist Dr. Alissa Redding. She was kind, gentle, and reassuring with regards to the procedure. She took the time to answer all of my questions, putting me at ease. The OR staff was also great! Everyone was kind and attentive to my every need. They were outstanding. I had no pain and was up and around doing things right away. I am doing great and feel a lot was gained with no pain. You have an outstanding podiatry department and facility. I will be recommending Glacial Ridge Hospital to others.

Beginning January 1, 2019, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services are requiring hospitals and health systems to post their “current, standard charges.”
Hospital charges are the amount a hospital bills an insurer for a service. For most patients, hospitals are reimbursed at a level well below charges. Patients covered by commercial insurance products have negotiated rates with hospitals. Patients covered by Medicare or Medicaid programs have hospital reimbursement rates determined by federal and state governments.
Hospital charges may include bundled procedures, personnel, services and supplies. An example would be room rates that include the space, equipment, nursing personnel and supplies.
When a patient has the opportunity to shop for medical services, he or she should contact his or her own insurance carrier to understand which costs will be covered and which will be the patient’s responsibility.
Patients should contact the hospital directly for any further details.
