Our fully-integrated wellness center sets the stage for a comprehensive, medically integrated environment focused on your total well-being, ranging from day-to-day health maintenance to weight loss programs and special medical and clinical programs. It’s our mission to equip our community with all of the health, wellness, and fitness tools needed to live empowered.

Better Health at Glacial Ridge

The Glacial Ridge Wellness Center encourages a healthy lifestyle by offering programs and equipment for all ages and abilities.

Our complete workout facility offers a variety of cardio and weight training equipment including:

  • Free weights
  • Weight machines
  • Treadmills
  • Exercise bikes
  • Elliptical machines
  • Medicine balls, stability balls, bands, etc…

And more! Each machine has adjustable settings for mild to intense workouts.

With a variety of group classes offered, you’re sure to find one or two that are the right fit for you! If you have any questions along the way, our friendly staff is always available to assist you and to answer your wellness questions.

Equipment Orientation

Proper training is important for your health and safety! We offer every new member the opportunity to attend equipment orientation with a knowledgeable member of our Wellness Center Staff.

During your training, our staff will:

  • Introduce each piece of equipment
  • Describe what areas it targets
  • Demonstrate how to achieve the best results
  • Explain how to minimize the risk of injury

Visit Pass Memberships are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

Age is just a number!

We are honored to be a part of both the SilverSneakers® program and Silver&Fit® program. The fun, energizing programs help older adults take greater control of their health by encouraging physical activity through total-body conditioning classes and offering social events. Personal Training

Stay motivated with a little extra encouragement and direction! We offer numerous personal training packages to help you meet your wellness goals as quickly as possible from one-on-one sessions to group training with two or more.

Our certified personal trainers will:

  • Keep you motivated
  • Encourage you to reach for your full potential
  • Educate you on proper exercise techniques
  • Demonstrate proper training to achieve your goals

Example Package Options

Wellness Coaching

This includes exercise programming and nutrition counseling. A Health Coach works with you to establish healthy life goals such as nutrition and fitness related goals while focusing on making behavior changes that impact healthy choices. Sessions generally consist of reviewing your eating and physical activity patterns, guidance on how to reach your goals, and personalized suggestions.

Sessions are 20 – 30 minutes long. With an initial consultation as the first session, at least six sessions are recommended. Discounted packages are available as shown for members who are also working with a Personal Trainer.

Athletic Enhancement Program

For students looking to sharpen their athletic skills over the summer, participation in this program will make you faster, stronger, and more explosive by performing strength training and running drills. Sessions will last approximately 75 minutes. Exercises will vary depending on the sport(s) in which the athletes participate. This is open to anyone entering grades 7 or above looking to get better over the summer. Perfect for all levels of sports experience!

Group Support Classes

Strength in numbers! Working out with friends is a great way to stay motivated and keep your wellness journey on track! We’re proud to offer a variety of cardio, strength training classes, Yoga, Pilates and SilverSneakers classes. Read the descriptions below to find classes you’d like and view the printable class schedule. Follow us on Facebook for upcoming class reminders and wellness encouragement!

Body SculptBody Conditioning – This class focuses on muscle control and the push-pull method by combining cardio and strength training. We emphasize proper body technique, posture, and breathing for an all-around workout.

Cardio BlastBody Fit –  Strong is the new skinny, and here’s where you’ll get it! This class focuses on both movements and weights, using amped up music for cardio and equipment such as free weights, balls, and resistance bands to achieve fun and fitness!

Step It UpCardio Fit – This jam-packed cardio session lets you be free to enjoy the sensation of both dance and music. An addictive fusion of the latest dance moves and hottest new sounds puts the emphasis on having fun along with breaking a sweat.

4Circuit Training/ Stations – Torch calories and burn fat! This class is perfect for all levels of training and experience because you control how hard you want to push yourself. You’ll work both your muscles and your heart through weight training and movement.

5High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.) – A total body, heart pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout designed to tone your body, improve endurance and clear your mind. Modifications for all fitness levels are provided.

6Outdoor Bicycling Group – (Seasonal: May – September) Riding around the lake, dodging rolling hills, and taking a step off the beaten-path, this class offers something for everyone. The group also focuses on body weight, core-strengthening, and flexibility exercises when not                            racking up miles.

7Outdoor Running Group – Whether you’re an avid runner or just beginning, this is a great way to get outside to enjoy the scenery and fresh air. All physical fitness levels are welcome! During the run, we also perform body weight exercises, such as squats, and utilize a stump or                          a bench for dips, push-ups, step-ups, and planks.

8Pilates – This conditioning routine will help you gain the flexibility and core strength to emphasize stronger muscles and endurance. By focusing on deep breathing, you’ll notice how Pilates highlights pelvic and spinal alignment with balance and stabilization.

9Yoga – Learn how to move with awareness as you ease through transitions and learn the basic principles of alignment. These sessions will improve flexibility, enhance your health, and teach you to release daily stressors.

Physical Therapy Transition

We want patients to continue their wellness journey after completing physical therapy. It’s an important part of long-term success! That’s why we offer patients the opportunity to use the Glacial Ridge Wellness Center free of charge for one month!

During that month patients will:

      • Meet with one of our certified trainers
      • Build on the progress made in physical therapy
      • Design a plan for total body wellness
