Glacial Ridge Ambulance provides 24-hour advanced and basic life support services to residents and visitors of Pope County and eastern Stearns County. For the quickest response time when every minute counts, ambulances are stationed in Glenwood, Starbuck, and Brooten. Working closely with fire departments and law enforcement agencies, our EMS team is available 24/7 to help our community the moment an emergency happens.

Services Provided

  • Emergency pre-hospital care and transportation to the hospital during medical emergencies
  • Assisting medical personnel in the Emergency Department at Glacial Ridge Hospital
  • Coordinating, evaluating, and implementing emergency preparedness plans for the hospital’s response to natural or other disasters
  • Teaching American Heart Association and EMS-approved courses for the public and emergency responders

Course Description: The Heartsaver CPR in Schools Course, tailored to middle and high school students, teaches CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use, relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking.

Audience: The Family & Friends CPR program is for family members, friends, and members of the general community who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card. This program also can be a non-credentialed option for teaching CPR to middle and high school students.
