Our Why: We are supporting the purchase of an additional TE X Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) machine for the Glacial Ridge Emergency Department. The bedside ultrasound allows for faster diagnosis in emergencies, versus waiting for a CT scan or other diagnostic test. The ER team has identified life-threatening conditions such as internal bleeding, vascular issues such as AAA, abdominal issues such as gallstones, and so much more. All the full-time providers in the GRHS Emergency Department (ER) are credentialed to use this technology and look forward to learning more about the new echocardiogram capabilities.
