Caring for people has always been an integral part of Jessie’s life. She worked as a certified nurse’s assistant throughout high school and college, then graduated with a degree in nursing from the College of St. Scholastica. After working as a registered nurse at a rural hospital, she returned to the College of St. Scholastica for her Master of Arts in Nursing. She joined Glacial Ridge Health System as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) in 2006.
To expand her scope of practice, Jessie became a certified nurse-midwife (CNM). She now provides comprehensive women’s health care from adolescence through menopause and beyond, including prenatal care, attending hospital deliveries for low-risk pregnancies, and postpartum support. She also continues to provide pediatric care as a nurse practitioner.
Jessie is proud to be a part of a medical team that is willing to bring in specialists or refer patients to the best medical professionals. It is small-town care that can provide big-city benefits.
Growing up in Villard, she has known many of her patients for a number of years and is honored by their trust in her. She has always enjoyed the small-town, community atmosphere in this area and found it only natural to live and raise her family here. It could not be a better fit.
During her college years, Jessie fell in love with traveling the world. With only a backpack and a good pair of shoes, Jessie traveled both the U.S. countryside and abroad, spending time in Africa and all over Europe – Germany, the Netherlands, and Great Britain, to name a few. Things have changed a bit since her marriage and the birth of her four children. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, racing, motorcycling, reading, and walking.
