Professional headshot of Quinn Jacobs PAQuinn grew up in Sacred Heart, MN. At 16 years old, she began working as a nursing assistant at a local nursing home and was immediately drawn to patient care. She enjoyed caring for others and being part of a collaborative team.

Quinn received her nursing degree from Alexandria Technical and Community College and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of MN–Morris. She was an RN at Glacial Ridge Hospital for 15 years. Inspired by exceptional doctors and advanced practice providers she worked with in the ER, Quinn obtained her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. She felt compelled to continue her career in rural communities where her healthcare foundation was built and began in the Emergency Department at GRHS in September 2021. She acknowledges the unique culture at GRHS that begins with the friendly atmosphere she feels the moment she walks in the door.

In November 2023, Quinn expanded her practice to include patient care as an internal medicine practitioner at Glenwood Medical Center. Her knowledge and experience are well-suited to help patients with multiple chronic conditions. Working in both emergency and internal medicine provides a unique perspective on patient care. The dual role allows her to care for patients in the ER, where she is involved in assessing and treating patients with acute medical conditions, trauma, and emergencies. In the clinic, Quinn focuses on conditions that require frequent medical attention, such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.

Quinn’s special medical interests are chronic care management, rural emergency medicine, critical care,  and bedside ultrasound to aid in patient assessment and diagnosis. As a physician assistant, Quinn feels her role is to provide the patient with the knowledge and understanding of their disease or condition so they can make informed decisions regarding their care.

She and her husband, Ben, have two sons who keep them busy with sports and activities. They enjoy the area for its beauty and recreational opportunities, as well as the welcoming feel of the community. As a family, they have fun playing sports, camping, boating, traveling, snowmobiling, and watching dirt track races. Quinn also enjoys long-distance running.
