Rebeka A. Srbu, D.O.

Dr. Rebeka Srbu’s interest in science steered her toward a medical career as she graduated high school. As a family medicine physician, she enjoys the practical application of science as well as the human aspect of connecting with and helping others.

In addition to English, she speaks fluent Romanian and some Spanish. Dr. Srbu’s parents immigrated from Serbia to the Detroit area where she and her sister, now a physician’s assistant, were born and raised.

Dr. Srbu graduated magna cum laude from Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences. Moving south to Tennessee, she completed medical school at Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and returned to Michigan for a Family Medicine residency at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Dr. Srbu and her significant other wanted a change of pace from the overcrowded Detroit Metro upon finishing her residency. When visiting Glenwood, she recognized the welcoming, supportive medical staff and specialists who are committed to caring for this community. Realizing this beautiful area was the place to call home, they moved, added a dog to their family, and look forward to actively participating in the community.

With an evidence-based and patient-focused approach to care, Dr. Srbu gathers information by listening to each patient, explaining their options for treatment, and answering questions. She recognizes that patients have better outcomes when they are thoroughly informed and then together, develop a personalized plan of care that works for them.

Dr. Srbu is a board-certified doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) specializing in family medicine with obstetrics and cesarean sections. She joined Glacial Ridge in August 2022.

When she’s not delivering babies or caring for others, Dr. Srbu enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, taking in all of the lake activities, and exploring new restaurants.
