Jessica Wilson, CNP

professional headshot of a womanThe community has always felt like one big family. From Starbuck, Jessica headed to California after high school but wanted to raise her own family here one day. After living on the West Coast for seven years, Jessica returned to the Glenwood area to make Pope County her home once again.

Jessica has always been passionate about helping others and found that healthcare is a perfect fit. She began working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck. Upon earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Rasmussen College, Jessica worked as a Registered Nurse at Glacial Ridge Hospital for five years. She thoroughly enjoys caring for patients of all ages and the diversity of conditions. Her experience in emergency care, obstetrics, gastrointestinal procedures, and critical care areas of Glacial Ridge Hospital ignited her desire to strive for more.

After completing her clinical practicum hours through Glenwood Medical Center, Jessica earned her master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner through Maryville University. Experiencing firsthand the culture of caring at Glacial Ridge Health System and the organization’s growth, Jessica knew she wanted to stay. In June 2021, Jessica became part of the medical staff. She practices family medicine and has special interests in dermatology, pediatrics, and women’s health. Jessica desires to help others and impact her patients the same way that Glacial Ridge providers have for her and her family.

Jessica’s two sons keep her busy with their many school activities. They also like to camp, fish, and relax on the lake. You may also find them riding fat-tire bikes through the red dirt of the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Trails in the Northwoods.
