Your Trusted Dermatology Specialist at Glacial Ridge Health System
Katelyn is a dedicated dermatology specialist who grew up in Lowry. Her journey into the medical field began in high school, where she first developed a passion for human sciences during an anatomy and physiology class.
Katelyn earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Dakota. Before becoming a PA, she completed her bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences at North Dakota State University. Her four years of direct patient care experience as a Radiologic Technologist inspired her to pursue further education in order to have a greater impact on a patient’s overall health and well-being.
During PA school, Katelyn developed a keen interest in dermatology from her own experiences with skin issues and completed an elective dermatology rotation that solidified her specialty. She enjoys the blend of medical, surgical, and cosmetic care in dermatology, allowing her to express her creativity while helping others. Katelyn is passionate about skin cancer prevention, screening, and treatment, as well as treating conditions like acne, rosacea, and perioral dermatitis. Seeing her patients’ self-confidence grow as their skin improves is incredibly rewarding.
Katelyn enjoys caring for patients of all ages. She strives to ensure they feel heard, understood, and in control of their medical care by educating them on their conditions and treatment options. Together, they create a treatment plan that best fits with the patient’s life and values.
Outside of her professional life, Katelyn enjoys engaging in lake activities, running, snowboarding, reading, and cooking. She and her husband were raised in this community and have always dreamed of one day owning a lake home here. After having their daughter, they knew they wanted to raise her close to family and share their love for Lake Minnewaska.
With three years of experience as a certified Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology, Katelyn joined Glacial Ridge in August 2024. She chose GRHS because she always felt welcomed as a patient, student, and outreach provider. Katelyn appreciates the meaningful community connections and looks forward to providing compassionate and comprehensive dermatological care. She cares for patients at all three GRHS medical centers in Glenwood, Brooten, and Starbuck.
