General Surgeon Dr. Daniel Paley Joins Dr. Billie Jo Grieve at GRHS

Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and fellowship-trained in minimally invasive surgery, general surgeon Daniel Paley, MD, FACS, has joined the medical staff at Glacial Ridge Health System. He brings more than 30 years of surgical experience.

Dr. Paley provides laparoscopic general surgery and has a special interest in breast cancer care. He gets energized by advances that allow doctors to de-escalate treatment for each patient. “If you can get the same results with less intense treatment, it’s a better option,” he said.

“We’re glad to welcome Dr. Paley. His expertise is a great fit for our community,” said Kirk Stensrud, CEO. “Patients in Glenwood and the surrounding area now have more access to general surgery with Dr. Billie Jo Grieve and Dr. Daniel Paley.”

Dr. Paley’s approach to patient care is rooted in partnership. “Many of my patients come in having already done their research. I see my role as helping them make sense of it and walking through the treatment options together,” he said. Dr. Paley was drawn to GRHS by its supportive environment for both patients and providers.

Outside of work, Dr. Paley stays active by swimming, biking, kayaking, hiking, and learning pickleball. He also enjoys music, theater, and Ohio State football. Dr. Paley and his wife have two adult daughters and now share their home with a young Golden Retriever.
