Scrub Run 2025 Brings Community Together for Fun and Fitness

Scrub Run 3 The 11th Annual Scrub Run, hosted by Glacial Ridge Health System, took place Saturday morning, with the 5K starting and finishing by Lakeside. More than 120 people registered for this year’s event, kicking off with a group warm-up before the 9 a.m. start. It was a fun and active start to Father’s Day weekend. Inspired by the late Dr. Mark Johnson, a longtime family medicine and ER physician, the Scrub Run continues to honor his legacy through health and connection.

Proceeds from the event benefit Glacial Ridge Hospice, helping provide compassionate care for individuals and families in our community.

Congratulations to this year’s top finishers:

  • Men 16 and older: Ben Friedrichs of Sauk Centre – 19:24
  • Boys 15 and under: Terry Dickherber of St. Louis, MO – 22:45
  • Women 16 and older: Brittany Pieske of Glenwood – 25:40
