Bumper to Bumper: Free Supper Seminar Offers Preventative Maintenance Tips

What do a healthy mind, a healthy body, and a healthy car have in common? Find out on Monday, October 26, at “Bumper to Bumper,” a free supper seminar on preventative maintenance for a healthier mind, body, and vehicle. Join us from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Glenwood United Parish, 10 17th Ave NW.

Hosted by the Auxiliary of Glacial Ridge Health System, the evening features general surgeon Billie Jo Grieve, MD; behavioral health counselors Heather Gerlach, MS, LPCC, LADC, and Jennifer Gullickson, MS, LPCC; and Nick Peters from Marthaler Chevrolet.

Just like a vehicle, our health runs better with a little regular upkeep. This lively, practical evening walks through simple preventative habits, the kind that keep you, and your vehicle, running strong for the long haul. Attendees will leave with real, usable tips they can start right away.

Adults 45 and older, working or retired, are especially encouraged to attend. Coming straight from work? Come as you are, supper is provided. And whoever usually handles the oil changes at your house, or the doctor’s appointments, bring them along. Everyone could use a tune-up.

A light supper and dessert will be served, and attendees will have a chance to win door prizes, including a $100 Visa gift card.

“We wanted to bring something practical and free directly to our community,” stated Helen Claussen, a member of the Auxiliary, “Money raised by the Auxiliary goes right back into our local healthcare, and this event is one more way we can put that mission into action.” Bumper to Bumper is sponsored by the Auxiliary of Glacial Ridge Health System and Marthaler Chevrolet of Glenwood.

Mark your calendar for Monday, October 26. The event is free and open to the public; no registration required.
