Dr. Thomas Haus, a respected family medicine physician, has retired from Glacial Ridge Health System after 29 years of caring for patients and families. Throughout his career, he built lasting relationships with patients, who valued both his clinical skill and his warm, personable way with people.

Beyond his practice, Dr. Haus gave generously to the future of rural medicine. He served as a preceptor, mentoring many medical students through their rural training here in Glenwood as part of the Rural Physician Associate Program (RPAP), and as an adjunct instructor with the University of North Dakota, helping prepare the next generation of physicians who will care for communities like ours.

Dr. Haus also volunteered on 14 medical mission trips to Honduras with International Health Services, treating villagers in remote areas. Over the years, his wife and several of his children served alongside him, and one of his RPAP students even joined him.

While his retirement closes a remarkable chapter, Dr. Haus and his wife will remain in the community he has served for so long, where he will continue to be a familiar face.

Congratulations to Dr. Haus on a well-earned retirement. We are deeply grateful for the leadership, compassion, and heartfelt care he brought to Glacial Ridge over the years.
