Harvest Ball Success: Auxiliary Gives $30,000 for New Moms and Families

The Auxiliary of Glacial Ridge Health System held its final meeting of the year and recapped the 007 Casino Royale 21st Annual Harvest Ball fundraiser. Earlier this year, the Auxiliary pledged $30,000 toward the bathroom renovation project of the hospital’s OB postpartum suites. After the success of the event, thanks to the contributions from area businesses, community and auxiliary members, and GRHS staff, they presented a check to hospital staff. “We’re delighted to be able to pay off the pledge in full after this Harvest Ball,” Tina Hennen, Auxiliary President, stated. “Many members put a lot of time and effort into planning the event, and they pulled off a fun experience with a purpose. We accomplished that once again with the generosity of our community.”

Pictured from left to right are auxiliary members, Rachel Elwood, Tina Hennen (President), Loene Bowlin, Marvelle Weispfennig (Harvest Ball Committee Chair), Helen Claussen (Treasurer), and Margaret Claeson presenting the check to Kristi Wildman, RN; Jamie Boelke, RN, Discharge Planner; Kate Jacobsen, Nurse Administrative Assistant; and Becky Rosenblatt, auxiliary member.

The live auction was once again a fan-favorite for Harvest Ball attendees, with items that embodied fun experiences and tempted the taste buds. With the help of Zielsdorf Auctioneers, the live auction items raised over $6,700 toward the grand total!
