New mom and baby in a hospital room

Postpartum Recovery Rooms at Glacial Ridge – Home-Like Comfort and Family-Focused Maternity Care

Welcoming a new baby is a life-changing experience—and where families spend those first few days together matters. At Glacial Ridge Health System, we’re enhancing that experience with updated postpartum suites that offer a more comfortable, home-like setting for families, with the added peace of mind that comes from the safety of delivering in a hospital.

The new suites feature queen-size beds, giving both moms and support partners a more comfortable place to sleep. A small dining table offers space to sit together, share a meal, or welcome visitors as they meet your newest family member. Each room also includes a refrigerator and a beautiful lakeside view, creating a peaceful, home-like space that supports recovery after delivery while keeping you close to expert care. Plans are underway to add jacuzzi tubs to the postpartum rooms, offering the same soothing recovery option available in our birthing suites.

We’re also growing our maternity care team.

Anne Gilbertson, CNM, will begin seeing patients on August 4, and family medicine physician Dr. Payton (Schultz) Bausman will join in October after she completes a year-long fellowship in obstetrics. At Glacial Ridge, we’re committed to thoughtful maternity care in a setting that supports comfort, connection, and your growing family.
